Lip Filler Dissolving

Although the body breaks down hyaluronic acid fillers over time, filler dissolving is a quick and effective way of restoring the natural lip

Dermal filler dissolving involves injections to the areas of unwanted filler using the enzyme, Hyaluronidase. This enzyme dissolves and removes dermal filler within 48 hours.

An intradermal allergy test and a consultation is required pre procedure.

This treatment may be suitable for you if you have noticed your filler migrate. Filler migration is the movement of filler from its injection site to another area, for example to above the lip line. This can leave your lips looking uneven and lacking in lip border. When this happens, filling the area with more product is not the answer. Migration can occur for a number of reasons. For example being treated by different injectors using different techniques, being treated by non-medical injectors who are unaware of facial anatomy and filler not being placed in the right area or the lips being overfilled causing the filler to move outside of the lips as it has no where else to go.

Lip Filler dissolving and refill-

This treatment will consist of dissolving any unwanted filler, followed by refilling of the lips with hyaluronic acid based dermal filler, to restore shape and definition, which can be lost when filler migrates. At Alexandra Aesthetics we only use the highest quality dermal fillers, which are specifically designed to achieve subtle lip reshaping. A product will be chosen specifically to meet your individual needs. A consultation and intradermal allergy test is required prior to treatment. The treatment will be done over at least two separate appointments. Lips can be refilled two weeks after dissolving previous filler.
